Book the earliest time slot you can

Downtown October afternoons still run warm, and the Children's Garden gets busiest mid-afternoon. A morning or early-evening slot means shorter lines and better light for photos.

Park in a garage, not on the street

Weekend street parking near the Gardens fills fast. The surrounding downtown garages cost a few dollars and save you a long walk with a wagon and a stroller.

Don't plan to bring pumpkins home

Pair it with a nearby stop

Bricktown, Scissortail Park and the downtown library are all within a few blocks, so the event works well as a half-day rather than a whole day.
